Kurt Cobain shotgun
Seattle police released photographs of the shotgun used by Nirvana frontman, Kurt Cobain, to kill himself two decades ago.
Detective Mike Ciesynski holds the rifle in different ways in five photos published on the website of the police department on Wednesday.
The photos were taken in June 2015, added to the Seattle house the city system on March 3 and has since been included in the investigation file, according to police.
It is unclear why the photos were taken last year and why they were released this week.
Seattle police did not immediately respond to interview requests.
Cobain’s body was found in Seattle on April 8, 1994. An investigation determined that Cobain had consumed a large dose of heroin in the greenhouse of his mansion, a few days earlier.He later took his own life with a .20 caliber rifle to pump.
The investigators then concluded that this was indeed a suicide.
On the 20th anniversary of Cobain’s death in 2014, Mr. Ciesynski reviewed the records and said that no new information was no reason to change the original conclusion of the police.He had found four rolls of photographic film not developed to the stage of suicide.
After publishing two of these images in 2014, said in the police 34 that were taken on the scene because of the many requests from the public.
Cobain, who was aged 27, popularized the grunge rock, like bands like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Mudhoney.
