Taylor Swift calls fan
According to media reports Thursday, A 12-year-old Taylor Swift fan got a phone call of a lifetime.
The singer phone the sic girl and talked about music, touring and her disease.
Emily Beazley has been battling stage 3 T-cell lymphoblastic non-Hodgkins lymphoma since 2011. Sadly, after years of chemotherapy, Emily’s cancer remains so aggressive that doctors recently told her family that there is nothing more they can do for her.
“We would be here all day if I told you why I liked her,” Emily told NBC Chicago last week.
Emily’s mother, Nadia Beazley, says her daughter had “the biggest smile” and “jumped up and down” after the Grammy Award winner’s call.
She says Swift’s manager offered the family tickets and the opportunity to meet the singer at her Detroit concert May 30.
Earlier this month, the 25-year-old Shake it Off singer revealed to fans that her mother, Andrea Swift, is battling cancer.
“This is something my family and I thought you should know about now,” she wrote in a post on her Tumblr page.
The AP sent an email to Swift’s publicists seeking comment early Thursday.
Recently Swift shared with her fans that her mother is battling cancer in a heartfelt post on her Tumblr account.
