Western Australian Fisherman Survives Great White Attack Warnbro, Western Australia – 32 year old crab fisherman Steve Da Silva reported that has crab boat was attacked by a great white shark on July 4. The vessel was pulling in crab pot #20 of 80 when a great white shark appeared and went after the pot as it was being pulled into the boat by a winch, reports Sky News. Da Silva said, “I’ve never seen anything like it. It came straight at us, something you see in the movies.”. Never in his 16 years did he experience an encounter with the feared man eater.
