Jalen Rose Top Contender for College GameDay Opening

Jalen Rose, the former Fab 5 point guard and Indiana Pacer, who has been an NBA analyst for the past five years on ESPN could be starting a new job.

Since Hubert Davis announced he was leaving “College GameDay” to join North Carolina as an assistant coach, there has been an open slot to fill.

The network has yet to officially announce its choice, but TheBigLead.com reports that Jalen Rose has emerged as the front runner.

He has a well known face and presence on ESPN and would be welcomed by College Basketball fans everywhere. He is opinionated and the potential debates on the show could lead to great ratings.

Rose has had an interesting year at the network – mostly for his controversial statements about Duke’s recruiting practices and DUI bust.
