Ah Nuts! Olympic Volleyball Court Taken Over By Squirrels

Squirrels Overrun Olympic Volleyball Courts: Leaving Surprising Treasure

The Olympic volleyball teams have had quite an experience while practicing for the Olympics.

Squirrels have decided to use the practice volleyball courts as the nesting place for their acorns.

The animals are transferring their treasure from St. James Park to the practice volleyball courts located in Horse Guards Parade.

As the Olympic teams practice for the Olympics they have been discovering the squirrels buried treasure. To discourage the squirrels from hiding any more acorns a group has been assigned to rake the sand every morning.

A London 2012 source told the Sun: “It’s nuts but true. It seems squirrels have been invading the courts and either hiding or dropping their nuts. But it won’t affect the competition because the sand is regularly raked.”

Hopefully, this will deter the squirrels from this behavior prior to the start of the Olympic games.
