Fan Dies Watching MLB Action
The excitement of watching this week’s Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago White Sox baseball game proved too much for one male fan who suffered a cardiac arrest in the stands.
Game action was halted while paramedics attempted to revive the unidentifed male by performing CPR and racing the man off in an ambulance to a local hospital where he later died.
Members of both teams expressed concern after seeing some sort of commotion taking place in the stands as an emergency medical crew raced to help the stricken individual.
White Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis alerted the umpire so that the game could be halted while the emergency crew worked to revive the stricken fan. This is the second time this season that a Toronto Blue Jays fan had to be administered CPR while attending a game.
