Is Phil Jackson Planning Comeback As Lakers Coach

Sources close to ESPN are reporting that Phil Jackson is considering making a comeback to basketball and is very anxious to begin working with the NBA once again. Jackson, who already has been the recipient of 11 championship rings for his coaching skills on the basketball court, may be looking to make it an even dozen.

There is speculation that he could be given some sort of office position within the organization, but those who know Jackson best indicate that his real passion lies in returning to a fulltime coaching position, possibly with the Los Angeles Lakers. Jackson retired from the Lakers in 2011 and is obviously raring to go again after sitting out two seasons in retirement mode.

And Laker management just might be ready for some help from the 67-year old coaching veteran since their star player, Kobe Bryant, recently suffered an injury to his Achilles tendon which will keep him off the court for at least 9 months.
