Trade Rumors Heating Up

Trade rumors are heating up surrounding the Chicago Cubs starter Matt Garza. It appears that he’s at the top of the wish list for the Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, and several other clubs.

Kendrys Morales has also popped up on the radar of some teams eyeing the post season as a switch hitter. The Pirates have expressed interest in the power hitting Seattle first baseman to bolster their ranks in an attempt to break their sub .500 winning drought.

Giancarlo Stanton of the Miami Marlins keeps popping up on trade feeds due to the Texas Rangers continued interest. The young slugger has kept the Rangers interested due to continuous injuries and a lack of pop in the Rangers lineup this year. The Marlins insist that Stanton is not for sale but the Rangers will continue to pursue him up to the trade deadline.

Tim Lincecum, aka The Freak, has drawn the interest of the Detroit Tigers who are in desperate need of bullpen help. It has been unclear whether or not the Giants are actively listening to offers or not. Timmy has struggled this year but has bounced back in recent weeks with throwing his first career no hitter during his last outing.
