Ben Flick, an offensive lineman for the Cincinnati Bearcat Football Team, was killed Saturday evening in a car crash that also injured three other people, two which were also teammates of Flick. The driver has not been named in the fatal crash and the cause is unknown. Ben’s teammates, Mark Barr and Javon Harrison, were also injured and are now in the UC Medical Center.

The Coach of the Bearcats, Tommy Tuberville, was contacted and has stated that Ben was proud to be a part of the Bearcat team and the University, that he had a bright future and worked hard. As a father and a coach this is something he says that you hope you never have to go through. He extends his wishes and prayers to the families in their time of grief and loss.

The accident that occurred at 10:30 pm on Saturday evening appears to be a one car accident and the cause has not yet been released. A helicopter was dispatched to the area and Ben Flick, who was 19, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and Mark Barr were transported by helicopter to the Medical Center. They are still in critical condition and Javon Harrison, who was also transported by helicopter, is in stable condition.
