Georgia State coach Ron Hunter tore his Achilles tendon celebrating his team’s Sun Belt championship so he was coaching Thursday’s game from a rolling chair.
Of course he fell out of that chair when his son hit the game-winning shot in the final seconds.
After the Bears missed a free throw with 15 seconds to go, Hunter drained a deep trey with 2.6 seconds remaining to give the Panthers a wild win.
Georgia State became the second No. 14 seed to win on Thursday, following UAB’s upset of Iowa State.
