Drew Barrymore Shows Off Four-Carat Engagement Ring
When fiance Will Kopelman decided to ask actress Drew Barrymore for her hand in marriage, he chose a romantic location in Sun Valley, Idaho as his backdrop and a four-carat diamond ring designed by Graff jewelers as the pretty bauble to slip onto her finger as soon as he popped the question.
Kopelman, who is an art consultant, picked out all the details of the ring himself.
The four-carat ring features diamonds set all around the platinum band, and the shank of the ring is designed to spotlight a colorless Radiant Solitaire cut diamond.
Us Weekly notes that Barrymore and Kopelman’s romance dates back to 2010, several months before their first public appearance together; they reportedly dated on and off that year, but by October 2011, the relationship had progressed to the point “friends” were spilling engagement rumours to the tabs. As one source told Us Weekly in October, Kopelman was “madly in love” with Barrymore, and he was expected to propose within months.
Like Barrymore, decendant of a Hollywood acting dynasty who first came to the public’s attention as a sweet young girl in Steven Spielberg’s movie blockbuster “E.T.”, the ring is both modern and gorgeous. Professional jewelers who have seen the ring describe it as stunning and estimate its worth at over $160,000. This will be Barrymore’s third marriage.
