National Cheeseburger Day Is Here

September 18 Marks National Cheeseburger Day

Everyone has a very good reason for stopping by their favorite fast food place or diner on September 18 this year.

It’s National Cheeseburger Day! Whether you like your cheeseburger with American, cheddar, munster or spicy jalapeno cheese, National Cheeseburger Day is a reminder to enjoy this popular burger creation as often as possible.

National Cheeseburger Day honors all the many different ways that the plain grilled burger can be made even more succulent and delicious by adding a slice of cheese.

Most people feel it’s worth paying a few cents more to order a cheeseburger rather than just a plain old burger when dining out. The National Beef Board recommends throwing a party to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day and suggests a “Cheeseburger in Paradise” theme for the festivities.

There is no record as to exactly who created National Cheeseburger Day, but whether you celebrate by grilling at home of dining out, cheeseburgers make everyone smile.

Make it worth your while

Beginning Sept. 17, KRAFT American Cheese will donate a meal to Feeding America for every customer who visits Five Guys and checks in at using a mobile device. The two-week, nationwide promotion kicks off in honor of National Cheeseburger Day, Sept. 18, and supports Hunger Action Month.

“Since we first opened our doors in 1986, we’ve paired our burgers with KRAFT American Cheese slices for their creamy melt and mild taste,” says Molly Catalano, director of communications, Five Guys. “We’re pleased to team up with Kraft Cheese on another delicious venture – the cheeseburger check-in – in support of a great cause.”

As an added thank you, patrons who check-in will also receive a coupon for KRAFT American Cheese slices.
