Creflo Dollar jet

God has spoken to Pastor Creflo Dollar and he wants him to buy a $65 million private jet.

Of course, he already has one, but it’s old and needs replacing.

He also wants his followers to pay $65 million for it.

On his website, Dollar made his case: “The ministry’s current airplane was built in 1984, purchased by the ministry in 1999 and has since logged four million miles. Recently on an overseas trip to a global conference, one of the engines failed. By the grace of God, the expert pilot, who’s flown with Creflo for almost 20 years, landed the plane safely without injury or harm to any passengers.”

According to the Daily Beast, his congregation, thus far, has obliged his every whim.

CNN writes: “The figures were presented Friday in a nearly six-minute video on the Creflo Dollar Ministries website (the video was not viewable Friday night) and total more than $60 million needed to buy the Gulfstream G650, which goes for a reported $65 million.”

His G650 plea reads, partially, as follows:

We are asking members, partners and supporters of this ministry to assist in the undertaking of an initiative called Project G650. The mission of Project G650 is to acquire a Gulfstream G650 airplane so that Pastors Creflo and Taffi and World Changers Church International can continue to blanket the globe with the Gospel of grace. We are believing for 200,000 people to give contributions of 300 US dollars or more to turn this dream into a reality—and allow us to retire the aircraft that served us well for many years.

Below are five other facts about the televangelist:

1.) Dollar or Creflo A. Dollar Jr. is son to Creflo A. Dollar Sr. who was a law enforcement officer. The pastor is married to Taffi Dollar. After being wed in 1985, they were blessed with two daughters and three sons.

2.) Dollar originally had his heart on becoming a football player. But after getting injured in his first year in college, he diverted to preaching about the Bible, where he gained recognition. This laid the foundation for the birth of the “World Changers Bible Study” which is now known as “World Changers Church International.”

3.) Dollar has authored several books. Among them are “Understanding God’s Purpose for the Anointing,” “Claim Your Victory Today,” and “8 Steps to Create the Life You Want.”

4.) Taffi Dollar does Creflo’s introduction during services. Part of her elocution describes him to be the one who speaks “face to face with God, like Moses.” She also includes an admonition saying “every tongue that rises up against” (Dollar) “will be struck down.”

5.) In June 2012, a call was received by 911 from the teen daughter of Dollar, who complained that her father had punched and choked her. He was arrested and charged with family brutality and juvenile cruelty. He was released after a $5,000 bail was settled. Charges were also dropped after payment was made for some $1,000 in court fees. He was also required to complete a three-month anger management program.
