Lara Spencer Splits From Husband After 15 Years

Lara Spencer, the co-host of Good Morning America is divorcing her husband after 15 years of marriage. The divorce is said to be amicable.

In a statement to Page Six, the couple revealed that they have decided to end their marriage and go their separate ways after much care, thought and consideration. They also said that the decision was not taken lightly since they still love their children and have immense respect for each other. It was added by the couple that the children would still remain a top priority for both of them, and they will work together to care for the kids and make their life as fulfilling as possible.

“After a lot of thought, care and consideration, we have decided to end our marriage,” the couple said in a statement. “It’s a sad decision that did not come easily, especially because we respect and love each other and our children. They remain our top priority. We will raise them and care for them together.”

Lara Spencer married David Haffenreffer in Southampton, NY. Spencer once revealed to Martha Stewart that this is the place where they had started their journey. Haffenreffer used to be a reporter and works in real estate as an agent now.

Spencer has had a great career and before she became GMA’s host, she worked as its lifestyle anchor. Before this, The Insider was hosted by Lara Spencer.

Assuring people about the divorce being peaceful, the couple also revealed that they had every intention of remaining friends. This week, the entire family would be heading out for a vacation.
