The 17-year-old “Modern Family” star has been estranged from her mother, Chrystal Workman since 2012 … and was removed from the home after allegations of abuse.

Her 36-year-old sister had filed to become her legal guardian back in 2012 after the alleged physical and emotional abuse occurred.

Also an actress, Shannelle never had access to Ariel’s earnings despite being her temporary guardian.

During the allegations her mother denied everything, including the specific instances of hitting, slapping, name-calling and hurling personal insults at her then 14-year-old daughter.

At the time of the 2012 court hearing, attorney’s sought to transfer control of Ariel’s earnings to a blocked account, the request was not granted at the time and her mother still maintained access.

She was then told to stay 100 yards away from her daughter until the next hearing.
