The Internet is freaking out over whether or not skateboarder Erik Bragg won a cut of thePowerball jackpot on social media.

Shortly after the numbers for the record $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot were announced Wednesday night, Bragg posted a photo on Instagram claiming that he purchased the winning ticket in California.

n the post, Bragg poses with a lottery ticket that has the winning numbers.

“OMG I WON $1.5 BILLION!!!!! I’m posting this in case anyone tries to jack me this is proof! Look it up, I bought in chino hills where I grew up! #powerball,” Bragg said.

Posters on the online community Reddit started picking apart the image in ruthless detail.

“If you zoom in closely enough, you’ll notice that the 4 in 34 and 04 look edited in there,” one wrote. “I’m very skeptical.”

Another Reddit user seized on the mysterious column of letters on the left side of the ticket.

“I’m not one to call ‘Photoshopped!’ on things, but sadly, his pic is soooooo shopped,” the Reddit detective wrote.

“The only reason the ticket would have A,B,C,D AND E down the side is if it had five sets of numbers. One set of numbers would only have the letter A, and would be more centered on the ticket.”

As of Thursday morning, the post had over 73,000 comments and almost 90,000 likes. The comments range from questions of what photoshop app Bragg used to congratulations and requests for free skateboards.

Jackpot totals have been on the upswing since Nov. 4, when the jackpot reset at $40 million. This is the second time a Tennessee ticket holder won the Powerball jackpot, the last winner claiming $144 million in November.

The odds of choosing winning numbers in the drawing were 1 in 292 million. Winners of the jackpot, who have not yet come forward or been identified, will receive winnings in one of two ways of their choosing. They may opt to receive an annual sum over 29 years, or to receive one lump-sum payment. In addition to state taxes, 39.6 percent of the winnings will be paid in federal income taxes.

Powerball is played in 44 states, The District of Columbia and two U.S. territories.
