Here’s the problem with Hillary’s candidacy. This is an ad she posted criticizing Trump. The problem is that I can’t tell who paid for it. It seems like something Trump would put out himself. Hillary still doesn’t understand Trump’s appeal or the folks that vote for him. Nothing in this ad is offensive to his supporters. Nowhere in the ad is what Hillary believes or her vision for the country. Bernie will destroy Trump in a national election. Hillary only serves to rally his supporters. To all of my friends supporting Hillary, I understand your support of her as a person. She is tough and smart at at one time deserved to be our candidate….just not today….and not against this guy. Bernie is our best bet to change the system.
if you’re a political junkie like I am you’re going to see a lot of pieces like this in the coming weeks and months from Republicans running away from Trump, disgusted by their nominee.
Shorter: Trump is a liar/egomaniac/demagogue/racist/etc but Hillary is just as bad so I won’t vote at all or will vote for another candidate altogether.
Let’s call out this argument for what it is from right now: bullshit.
Pure, unadulterated bullshit.
As I’ve said here before, I’m not wildly enthusiastic about Hillary personally and while I would have preferred other alternatives (no, not him either Bernsters), I think she’s eminently qualified and am comfortable with the idea of her as president.
But please spare me the overwrought, faux comparisons to Trump.
You Republicans know damn well that the man is as uniquely unsuited to the presidency, both in temperament and experience, more than any nominee for a major party in the last hundred years.
He has little or no knowledge of or interest in policy, is clearly a raging misogynist, racist, vulgar schoolyard bully who incites violence, trucks with a wink and a nod to White Supremacists and would be a disaster as a city councilman far less president.
Think what you want about Hillary, despise her if you want for whatever reasons you have, and don’t vote for her. Fine.
But attempting to put them on the same level of unsuitability for the Presidency demonstrates either unthinking blind partisanship, an utter lack of comprehension for the objective facts, or a delusional state of mind.
Take your pick.
