The nearest star, Alpha Centauri, is 4.3 light years away.
The Andromeda galaxy is 2.5 million light years away.
Our Milky Way is about 100,000 light years across.
How do the nuts who believe in UFOs propose that aliens travel such great distances? Intergalactic travel wouldn’t be possible even at the speed of light. Say an alien species created a warp drive that is twice the speed of light, they can live over 1 million years? What do they eat; do they have huge gardens on their spaceships?
Well it isn’t a weather balloon. If it isn’t of extra-terrestrial origin, what is it? And why is it so unreasonable to believe that a civilization advanced enough to have developed interstellar travel could also have developed superluminal travel? I consider myself a hardcore empiricist, but I am also realistic enough to admit that we’re not the only hotdog stand in the universe.
If it were “aliens,” in the first place, how would we know that our rules of space time apply to them? Are you assuming they’d only be human aliens? Haha
Didn’t Einstein theorize about worm holes? The predicted gravitational waves… So he must have been on to something. Just a thought. Besides, if you think in all of space’s vastness that we are alone, then you are very closed minded.
Well not saying I am believer, and to me, this looks fake. However, I know Stephan Hawking just got his project approved which involves making a ship to travel with light. As well as someone else mentioning, that we are making a lot of discoveries, one being the gravitational waves. So there’s a possibility that black hole theories could be true. Plus, it’s not like we are the oldest galaxy and you can’t in this vast universe, we are the only one’s to get lucky enough. And they be leagues ahead of us.
You are so right! There is no way we can travel those distances, so it MUST be impossible.
It is a well-documented, absolute, historically and scientifically-proven FACT that anything
we humans we haven’t figured out how to do is exactly that: impossible.
If this wasn’t a true, we would be doing all kinds of impossible things like sailing around the earth without falling off the edge, communicating long-distances without wires, flying around the world, traveling underwater, and living in and exploring outer-space.
I mean, *If* we were able to do any of those kinds of impossible things, then MAYBE we would have at least some reason to believe that other “Impossible” things might not be so impossible after all. Thank God a CRAZY idea like that hasn’t started spreading – can you just imagine the ignorance-shattering, denial-inducing things the it might lead to?
For the record: I have no idea whether UFOs are alien craft, secret military projects, hoaxes (like this one probably is), or whatever. But I DO know that they aren’t “impossible” simply because I don’t know.
These sightings of “strange aircraft” are now called UAP’S ( unidentified aerial phenenon”.
After WWI/WWII, veterans returning home with psychological issues were termed as “shell shock”, later this was called ” battle fatigue ” and of course even later, much after the Vietnam Conflict, it was changed to reflect a more clinical tone, PTSD.
Beware when something that is the same gets changed to pacify the seriousness of the facts.
At first, it was “flying saucers”, next it changed to UFO’s, and now we hear from ” The US Government, the term is “uap”.
Beware my friends. It appears something is about to happen outside of the Government’s purview.
That’s how it happened with the ” gay virus”, “shell shock” and flying saucers. People, that is advocacy groups did their own research, clinical and empirical and found the truth.
For your consideration, I offer the following observations. These sightings of “strange aircraft” are now called UAP’S ( unidentified aerial phenenon”.

One would have to be an idiot to think we are the only intelligent beings in existence within the entire universe. The statistics are very much against such an idea being true, but where ever “they” may be, they must face the same troubles we have in trying to envision interstellar traffic. I rather imagine us as one of the races shown on an episode of Star Trek Next Generation that decided they were not ready to accept the concept of extraterrestrial life, and could only imagine us as being conquerers rather than peaceful explorers. Who knows? It could be true, but I sure hope not! If so, then we are in deep trouble. Any race that could develop the technology to travel faster than light would have to see us as semi-intelligent simians who barely mastered the use of tools. Duh

Don’t try to reason with them. Arguing with a UFO believer is like putting lipstick on a pig. It makes you look silly, and pisses the pig off!

Whether or not you all believe in aliens or ufos, can you explain what this object is? No? Then Its a ufo. Unidentified flying object.
